Schmechtig Landscapes is proud to be one of the landscape designers for the 2013 Lake Forest Showhouse and Gardens benefiting the Infant Welfare Society. This event will be open to the public from April 27th through May 19th, 2013 and includes special presentations and lectures. Schmechtig’s work will be featured in the Alcoves located in front of the Sunken Garden. Our landscape architects and garden design personnel have teamed up to work on one of David Adler’s estates built in 1916 on the shores of Lake Michigan in Lake Forest.
This year’s Showhouse event gives you the opportunity to be inspired by the leading interior designers and receive landscape and garden ideas presented by the area’s notable landscape contractors. Over the past 27 years, the Lake Forest Showhouse and Gardens benefiting the Infant Welfare Society has been widely recognized as one of the top Showhouse’s in the Midwest and the event has raised more than $2.75 million of dollars to provide medical services to Chicago’s working poor. The proceeds from this year’s Showhouse will help to fund the Angel Harvey Infant Welfare Society of Chicago Community Health Center, located in the Logan Square community. The event runs from April 27th – May 19th, 2013. For all the details visit: http://www.lakeforestshowhouse.com/landscapedesigners.html
